The Adirondack Art Association presents our second of four Opening Receptions this season on Friday evening July 18th at 5pm. The show features Printmaker Robert Harper and Painter/Photographer William Crosby and runs until August 7th. 

Stop by and see the incredible work of these 2 artists while enjoying light refreshments and the company of local art enthusiasts and artists.

Stories and....Watercolors

Children’s book author Angela Burke Kunkel will join us to read and sign her newest book, World More Beautiful: The Life and Art of Barbara Cooney, and guide children through painting a lupine with watercolors. The event is open to the public, and all supplies will be provided. We ask for a suggested donation of $15 per child to help support the program, but welcome all to participate regardless of ability to pay.

Come celebrate history at our town’s 51st annual Essex Day celebration!

Join the Town of Essex for their annual community celebration on the first Saturday of August. The event features a town-wide yard sale and street party and is the perfect opportunity to experience what makes Essex so special.

The celebration takes place on Main Street in Downtown Essex, NY, and offers a wide variety of activities and attractions, including:

  • More than 40 artisan and craft vendors

  • Local shops and restaurants

POP Club at Port Henry Farmers' Market

Power of Produce Club

The POP (Power of Produce) Club is a free kids’ program that offers hands-on activities and a chance for kids to taste and engage with local produce. Kids learn about farms and food through scavenger hunts, trivia, games, taste tests, and more; after participating in activities, all youth ages 5-12 receive $5 to select their own fresh fruit or vegetable at the market!

The Lower Adirondack Regional Center for History
(LARCH) will offer a free program entitled “Marcella Sembrich: Queen of the
Metropolitan” on Friday, July 25 at 7 p.m. at the Hancock House, 6 Moses Circle,
Ticonderoga.
Marcella Sembrich was an internationally renowned opera singer of the late
19th and early 20th centuries. In 1924 she built an intimate lakeside teaching studio
in Bolton Landing. Each summer, vocal students from The Juilliard School and The
