Weather misbehaving? Take a history lesson through the Lake Champlain Region!

When the Lake Champlain Region settles in for winter, the landscape transforms into a quiet, sparkling reflection of its storied past. The colder months offer a unique perspective on the Adirondack Coast, where Revolutionary War forts stand resilient against time and historic villages exude old-world charm beneath a blanket of white. But regardless of snow, history touring is always an adventure worth having! Touring the region’s history feels a bit like stepping into a living museum: fewer crowds, peaceful trails, and landmarks that have stood the test of time, blended into our present way of life. From exploring battlefields and museums to touring local landmarks that shaped the nation’s early days, winter in the Lake Champlain Region beckons you to explore its history, snow not required!
