Yankee Doodle Comes to Town is a fun and interactive introduction to colonial-era music and life, presented as part of Westport Library’s Celebrating the Nation: A Season of Heritage & Hope series. Join musicians from the Fifes & Drums of Fort Ticonderoga and presenter Victoria Cole, a former Westport/BVCS graduate, for an engaging program that explores the music, instruments, and traditions of the American Revolutionary period.
Come by for an opening reception featuring Photographer Jim Friday at the Adirondack Art Association. Jim’s exhibition will showcase the beautiful, scenic photographic and panoramic work of Jim Friday. There will be a short talk accompanied by a question and answer session with Jim, light refreshments, fellowship with local artists and residents and of course great art.
Adirondack History Museum’s 4th annual fundraiser for the Colonial Garden. All proceeds support improvements and care of the garden. Live music, wine, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a special Hidden Treasures art sale.
