Join Champlain Area Trails for a Winter Solstice Luminaria Walk at Twin Valleys Outdoor Education Center on Sunday, December 21st, Between 4 PM and 8 PM.
Celebrate the shortest day of the year and the first official day of winter with a self-guided walk (or snowshoe, weather permitting) and a bonfire.
Winter fun for all ages! We welcome you to Twin Valleys Outdoor Education Center to enjoy a special luminaria walk through our trails. We will have a bonfire to warm up around and roast marshmallows. This is family-friendly, and well-lit, with shorter trails and rewarding views of the pond and winter woods.
DIRECTIONS: Twin Valleys is located at 95 Twin Valley Rd, Wadhams, NY 12993 about 40 miles south of the SUNY Plattsburgh campus between Lewis and Westport, N.Y. Take I-87 to 95 Twin Valley Lane, Westport, N.Y. 12993.
TIMING: Trails will be lit from 4 pm until 8 pm. People are welcome to come by anytime for those four hours to snowshoe or walk and enjoy the luminaria experience.
REGISTRATION: Please click here to register in advance, but feel free to join us on Sunday evening as well!

We recommend dressing for a winter hike. It will be chilly! Coats, hats, and mittens or gloves are a must. Get ready for an unforgettable experience!
