When in the Course of Human Events: The American Revolution at 250

Explore the people, ideas, and lasting impact of the American Revolution during When in the Course of Human Events: The American Revolution at 250, a special three-part lecture series presented by Westport Library. Join Middlebury College historian and Westport resident Connor Williams as he traces the revolutionary era from the colonial crisis of 1763 through the Revolutionary War, the creation of the Constitution, and its ratification in 1787. The series will also examine how Americans continue to interpret and debate the nation’s revolutionary legacy today and the global significance of those conversations. These engaging lectures invite community reflection, discussion, and a deeper understanding of America’s founding era as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary.
