A total lunar eclipse will begin around midnight on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Total eclipse of the moon will occur around 3:00 a.m. on Friday, March, 14, 2025 and ending around 6:00 a.m. Friday, March 14th. This breathtaking celestial event is called a Lunar Blood Moon. As the Earth moves between the sun and the moon, its shadow will cast a deep red hue over the lunar surface, creating a mesmerizing spectacle in the dark Adirondack skies.

The Adirondacks are one of the best places in the Northeast to experience this celestial event, thanks to their vast wilderness, minimal light pollution, and expansive dark skies.
