Lake Champlain Revolutionary Quest Kickoff

The Lake Champlain Revolutionary Quest kicks off on May 17th! This self-guided trail brings to life the events that shaped America’s fight for independence, with stops across scenic locations rich in history—from battle sites and forts to enduring landmarks. 

*Note: This is a soft launch.  Some sites may not be open until later in the season.

Stop locations include: 

  1. Fort Ticonderoga (Open Tues-Sun, 9:30am-5:00pm, May 3-Oct 26, 2025)
  2. Hancock House (Open Wed-Sat, 10:00am-4:00pm beginning in June)
  3. Crown Point State Historic Site (Open Wed-Sat,  10:00am-5:00pm, May 11-October 22, 2025) 
  4. Iron Center in Moriah (Open Fri & Sat 10:00am-4:00pm, Sun: 1:00-4:00pm beginning mid-June, 2025)
  5. War Cannon Spirits (Open Mon-Wed 4:30-9:00pm, Thur 4-9:00pm, Fri: 4-10:00pm, Sat: 12-10:00pm, Sun: 12-8:00pm)
  6. Coot Hill/ Bg Hollow Trail 
  7. Westport Main St 
  8. Essex Main St 
  9. Adirondack History Museum (Open Wed-Sat: 10:00am-4:00pm, Sun: 12-4:00pm beginning in June)
  10. Ausable Chasm (Open 7 days, 9:00am-4:00pm)
  11. Whallonsburg Grange/Whitcombs (Open Thur-Sat, 10:00am-3:00pm) 
  12. Gateway Trail System 
  13. Essex Inn (Open Fri-Sat 5-9:00pm)
  14. Deers Head Inn (Open Wed-Sun 5-9:00pm)
