Empowered Ascent: Hike Mount Inez with WomenPeaking

Come celebrate the first day of Spring with womenPEAKING Podcast hosts Michelle Maron and Loree Burns. Embark on an empowering hike up the newly opened Champlain Area Trails trail on Mount Inez, dedicated to the legendary women’s suffrage advocate, Inez Milholland.
This 3.3 mile- out-and-back adventure winds through beautiful forested switchbacks, culminating with sweeping summit views that inspire. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or new to the trails, you’ll connect with an inclusive community passionate about women’s stories and outdoor adventure. If snow lingers, snowshoes are encouraged. All are welcome bring your curiosity, your voice, and your spirit of exploration! This is considered a moderate-to-difficult hike with 600 feet of elevation gain.
There is an additional opportunity to hear the story of the womenPEAKING Podcast as part of the Whallonsburg Grange Lyceum Series. Michelle and Loree will be giving a talk titled "Women Peaking: Friends Climbing Through Midlife" on Tuesday, March 31st, at 7 PM.
WHAT TO BRING:
-Wear layers! Dress appropriately for an early Spring hike with the possibility of hiking in snow
-Hydration: Bring plenty of water for the hike
-Fuel: Bring snacks for energy
HOW TO GET THERE:
The hike will start at the Mount Inez trailhead at 10 am.
The trailhead is located on Ray Woods Road, about 1/2 mile west of the Lewis-Wadhams Road (County 10)
