"Aquatic Invasives in Lake Champlain"- Special Program at Crown Point State Historic Site

"Aquatic Invasives in Lake Champlain"

Saturday, July 12, 12:00 - 1:00 pm at the Crown Point State Historic Site

One reason the forts were built at Crown Point was to stop invaders from using Lake Champlain.  Join the Crown Point State Historic Site to learn about the current invaders on Lake Champlain. Non-native plants and animal are gaining control of the lake by over-running, and ultimately displacing native species. Many boaters and fisherman unknowingly support this invasion.

Learn more about this invasion by coming to this program. It will start with an instruction portion followed by  hands-on examples down on the shoreline.
