2026 A YEAR OF CELEBRATIONS
This year we will be celebrating the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding and the town has been busy planning activities to mark this event. We will continue to update you on how you can be
involved in ensuring our democracy endures for another 250 years. 2026 also marks the 100th anniversary of the library’s founding and we are planning special events to honor our past
while envisioning our future.
“And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never
been.” — Rainer Maria Rilke
A Note From Our Director
Starting our 100th year as a library in Keeseville is so exciting!! There will be lots of new programs and events coming your way. Thank you to all our patrons near and far who have contributed to our library in various ways over the last year. Our library continues to grow with your contributions and we are so grateful!!! We are looking forward to connecting with old friends and new in 2026. Wishing you all many blessings in the year ahead!

COLD WEATHER FUN
For many of us the wintry weather drives us inside. We love the north country and would not live anywhere else, but often we enjoy the cold and snow from looking out our window. The library offers us hours of entertainment and fun. In addition to books, you can borrow jigsaw puzzles, movies, board games, and musical instruments; learn to knit, play Mah Jong, bingo, trivia and sing. We encourage you to also take advantage of our off-site programming. If you can’t get out, the library will deliver books to you. And if you DO want to go outside, the library has snowshoes for the whole family to borrow.
MUSIC IN THE LIBRARY
Join us on January 3rd at 1 pm
For a very special performance in the library by violinist Ben Eager. Ben recently graduated from Roosevelt University in Chicago with a degree in violin performance. We are privileged to introduce this young performer to the community of Keeseville.
WORKSHOP FOR DOG LOVERS
Jess Ray, a certified family dog mediator and advocate for dogs of all origins. This workshop will help you understand your dog better using the Learning, Environment, Genetics, Self (L.E.G.S) framework.
