The Mountain Weavers Farm Store – This local grocery store supports local farmers, providing food to the community. A win-win!

The Adirondack Trading Post – This retail store has a collection of local honey, syrups, mixes and farm fresh meats from Lillie Valley Farm.

Montcalm Liquors – You’ll find a wide variety of wine and spirits at Montcalm Liquors. Your perfect pairing is just a stop away!

Joleigh Cakes – Joleigh Cakes will be offering a variety of Thanksgiving gourmet desserts to add to your dessert table.

Are you looking for some new recipes to mix up your Thanksgiving repertoire? The Chamber staff (those of us who cook anyway) are here to help! From cornbread casserole and cranberry sauce to mashed potatoes and gravy, check out some of our family traditional recipes. Who knows? Maybe they will become some of your new Thanksgiving favorites!

Walk it Off

If you find that you overindulged on your holiday meal, the Ticonderoga Area has plenty of walking and hiking trails waiting for you.

Champlain Area Trails – Champlain Area Trails is a land trust that creates and maintains trails throughout the Champlain Valley.  With trails to meet most abilities, you are likely to find something to meet your needs. Check out their trail systems at www.champlainareatrails.com.

Lake George Land Conservancy offers a number of trails in the area including Ticonderoga’s Cook Mountain Preserve. The three trails of Cook Mountain Preserve offer a variety of experiences for hikers of all ages and abilities.

LaChute River Trail – The LaChute River Trail is not only a picturesque walk along Ticonderoga’s LaChute River, but it also is a guided tour through Ticonderoga’s industrial history with markers beside the path.

Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is a nationwide campaign, a day dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country. In the Ticonderoga Area, our local businesses celebrate Small Business Saturday with promotions and specials all day long. A compilation of these specials are available on www.ticonderogany.com and on the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.

Ushering in Christmas

Be sure to stick around the area until Sunday, November 27th to attend the Rockin Tree Lighting with DJ Cruz. This community tradition consists of music, a countdown to the lighting of the community Christmas tree, wagon rides, a visit from Santa and an overabundance of holiday spirit. You won’t want to miss it!
