Spectacular swimming

Jump in and make a splash! The Lake Champlain Region has both private sandy swimming beaches and several sandy public beaches located around the lake, offering opportunities to swim, paddle and soak up the sun. Many of the public beaches and campgrounds have boat launches and rentals, picnic areas and recreation facilities as well.

Near Ticonderoga, head to the family-oriented Black Point Public Beach; it's known for its "million-dollar view." The sandy beach offers spectacular views of historic Rogers Rock and the lake. Farther north, we love the Westport Municipal Beach, Noblewood Park in Willsboro, the Lincoln Pond Campground in Elizabethtown or Bulwagga Beach in Port Henry.

Children play on a sandy beach at dusk with a broad lake in the backgournd.

Leave No Trace and Love Your ADK

The magic of the Adirondacks is the result of previous generations taking a long view and protecting the mountains, lakes, and rivers within the Blue Line. That tradition continues today as we support and encourage everyone to practice Leave No Trace ethics, which help protect the lands and waters of the Adirondacks.

Seven Principles of Leave No Trace
