Ticonderoga's beach on Lake George

Located at the northern tip of Lake George in Ticonderoga, NY, Black Point Beach is a scenic public beach known for its clear water, natural sand bottom, and panoramic views of historic Rogers Rock. Often called the “million dollar view,” this peaceful Ticonderoga beach offers a safe and rock-free swimming area, ideal for both kids and adults.

Black Point Beach is a family-friendly destination featuring a playground, picnic areas, and beach volleyball. The modern, eco-conscious beach building includes restrooms, changing rooms, and an outdoor shower. You’ll also find educational displays about lake protection, native plant landscaping, and a rain garden designed to demonstrate sustainable practices.

Black Point Beach offers free parking and fees to use the beach, making it a unique and affordable way to experience Lake George while staying in the Lake Champlain Region. This beach is maintained by the Town of Ticonderoga and is open daily through the summer from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
