Ticonderoga Heritage Museum FREE Industry Walking Tour
Lower LaChute Industry Walking Tour INFO:
Meet at the Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market Office Tent at 10:40 AM. At 10:45 AM all tour participants will enjoy a special walk to the Ticonderoga Heritage Museum where the official tour will begin. The Industry Walking Tour will be led by Supervisor Mark Wright beginning at 11:00AM at the Heritage Museum (1888 Building) and follows the river west-southwest to Montcalm Street. The tour length is approximately 90 minutes. Along the way, Mark will discuss the abundance of industries which once made their living along the river, many of which used the river’s power to benefit the industry. Each participant will be provided a guidebook to use during the tour. The guidebook shows the location of each industry on my map, photos of how it appeared during its operation and interesting facts. For anyone with Town pride and Town curiosity, this is a show-stopper! Whether this is your first tour or not, it will be a beautiful walk on a beautiful morning in the park along the La Chute River. No sign-up is needed. All are welcome! Please join us!
