North Country Christmas: A Community Celebration

Submitted by guest blogger Erin Mullen, Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce

Christmas, as the song says, is the most wonderful time of the year. As such, it’s among our favorite holidays. 'Tis the season of community. From the stores that you visit and the events that you attend to the neighbor you greet to volunteering, Christmas is a time that truly enhances the community spirit. The multi-day 10th Annual North Country Christmas celebration embodies all that is good in this season. Without further ado, you are cordially invited to experience the Lake Champlain Region and Ticonderoga area this holiday season, where you will be treated as a neighbor!

North Country Christmas festivities kick off with Small Business Saturday! “First there was Black Friday. Then Cyber Monday. Now there is Small Business Saturday.”  Support Ticonderoga Area businesses on Saturday, November 30, 2019 for the 10th Annual Small Business Saturday.  The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce is participating in the nationwide initiative as the Neighborhood Champion via American Express in hopes to lend support and resources to area businesses as well as ensure the event has a significant economic impact for their members and the area. Small Business Saturday falls on Thanksgiving weekend; between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, when most holiday shopping begins. Many businesses throughout the Ticonderoga area are participating. From fine dining, to discounts on that perfect holiday gift, there is something for everyone! To receive the promotions, you must have the Small Business Saturday Specials & Promotions flyer or mention Small Business Saturday! For a list of participating businesses contact the Chamber or visit Small Business Saturday is a true celebration of community.
