Black Kettle Farm Nature Trail is a pretty hike with a great view from a rocky cliff. Notice the three distinct habitats, with a river crossing on stepping stones, wetland crossing on foot bridges, beaver dam, and wildflowers.
You'll find the beginning behind the red barn at Black Kettle Farm at the corner of Cook Road and Leaning Road. At the Whallonsburg Grange Hall turn left (coming from Wadhams) onto Cook Road, and follow it all the way to the corner of Leaning Road, about 3 miles.
This is an easy, 1.5 mile round trip. There are a few spots of rough terrain along the way. Most can expect it to take less than an hour to complete this hike.
