In depth

The community of Lewis is one of many notable spots in the Lake Champlain Region. The town honors Inez Milholland, early crusader of womens’ rights, with an annual event. Inez was a summer resident of Lewis and is buried here.

Lewis is also the home of the world renowned Meadowmount School of Music. In operation since 1944, Meadowmount offers an intense advanced program of study for accomplished string players and pianists. Distinguished alumni who have spent summers at Meadowmount include Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell, and Yo-Yo Ma, among many others. Students share their talents with weekly public concerts, a privilege you won’t want to miss.

Magic Pines campgrounds offer campsites and amenities amid spectacular scenery, putting you in close proximity to a wide array of outdoor activities
