Fall events in the Lake Champlain Region bring together history with arts and cultural happenings. Topping the list this coming weekend are the Fort Ticonderoga Brown's Raid Re-enactment and the Otis Mountain Get Down.

Brown's Raid Re-enactment is a two day event, September 14 and 15. With General John Burgoyne’s Army south at Saratoga in September of 1777, march with Colonel John Brown and his militia men as they raid Ticonderoga, releasing prisoners, capturing supplies, and even turning British Cannons on the terrified British and German garrison of Ticonderoga. In this battle reenactment, experience the determined American raid on this British outpost in an old French fort!

Also a two day event, September 13 and 14, Otis Mountain Get Down in Elizabethtown has grown to a popular event delivering some of the finest bluegrass entertainers in the region. With music from all genres, the bluegrass is what made the Get Down famous, bringing good people of all ages together through music, activities, positivity, and happiness. So come get down with a little bit of everything. Run into your neighbors. Make some new friends. Have fun with the Otis family.
