Hosting events in 2020 and the first part of 2021 certainly has been challenging. Taking these challenges with strides, Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership and the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce in coordination with Silver Bay YMCA, Ticonderoga Festival Guild, and Ti Automotive, as well as a number of local businesses and organization are pleased to announce they will host the Seventh Annual Ticonderoga End of Winter Carnival & Fireworks: COVID-19 Edition the weekend of March 5th – 7th, 2021.
This family friendly event will include on your own and virtual activities, business promotions and specials, as well as fireworks. Please note all information is subject to change. Regulations and all guidelines must be followed to ensure this event take place. Guidelines include no gatherings, keeping social distanced, and wearing masks. The committee does plan to bring back traditional aspects of this event and new options as well in 2022.

Friday, March 5th:
Family Movie Night & Take Out: Get Your Free Goody Bag
Enjoy a family movie at home on your favorite streaming service. Be sure to get take out from one of the participating restaurants for dinner! It is Take Out Night! Be sure to get your FREE Weekend Goody Bag which includes items for Family Movie Night and Saturday’s Carnival Activities (both scheduled and on your own). Goody Bag Pick Up will be on Wednesday, March 3rd & Thursday, March 4th from 2:30 - 5:00 PM in front of Ti Automotive. Limited amount.
Saturday, March 6th:
On Your Own Photo Scavenger Hunt:
Instructions are included in the free Goody Bag or via the TACC office during the week prior. Complete the map provided by Silver Bay YMCA which will bring you throughout Ticonderoga. Completed maps can be dropped off to the TACC office by March 12th for a chance to win a free pizza from the Foraging Bear.
On Your Own Winter Activities: Adult Supervision Required
Sliding in Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park, Ice Skating at the Town of Ticonderoga Rink, Snowshoeing/Cross Country Skiing at Ticonderoga Recreational Areas and Rogers Rock Campground & Snowmobiling in the Ticonderoga Area.
10:30 AM: Facebook Live Family Performance
Children’s performer delighting young audiences with entertaining, somewhat educational songs and stories. Streamed live on the Ticonderoga Festival Guild facebook page.
11:00 AM: Live Book Reading with Local Author & Illustrator Shaundra Bartlett Lerman
Book Reading streamed live on the Ticonderoga Festival Guild facebook page from local Author & Illustrator.
11:30 AM: Carnival Games via facebook Live & On Your Own
Fish Tank Drop, Tin Can Toss, Ski Ball, & Paper Plate Ring Toss via Silver Bay YMCA facebook live. Instructions provided in free Goody Bags on how to participate in Carnival Games as well as other activities you can do on your own.
8:00 PM: Fireworks Over Bicentennial Park - Park & View or Virtual Viewing
The park and surrounding areas will be closed to participants. You may park your vehicle where it is safe and legal to view the show. If you choose to exit your vehicle you must stay next to it, wear a mask, and stay social distanced from any other party. No gathering. All guidelines must be followed to ensure the fireworks display takes place. Fireworks will also be lived streamed via the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce & Downtown Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership) facebook pages so you may view from the safety of your home.
