The annual Adirondack Harvest Festival goes FREE RANGE this year! By this we mean exploding beyond our traditional festival at the Essex County Fairgrounds and scattering the fun throughout the community and virtually! Tying it all together, so we can all celebrate as a community, we have put together a Scavenger Hunt (with great prizes!) that includes all the activities in the field and online!
We’ll kick off the day with a Champlain Area Trails hike on the Viall’s Crossing trail ending with lunch by Papa Duke’s BBQ and beverages at Ledge Hill Brewery. If you stay at Ledge Hill into the evening you can enjoy dinner with DaCy Meadow Farm! If you prefer the Keeseville scene, you can sip at Ausable Brewing Company and sup on Northern Feast Catering fare.
End your day at the Whallonsburg Grange where we’ll feature a free screening of “Inhabit”, a gorgeous “feature length documentary introducing permaculture: a design method that offers an ecological lens for solving issues related to agriculture, economics, governance,” and more. Bring your own chairs and pick up bowl of homemade Farmers Cone Creamery ice cream or a cup of hot cider. It’s all outside under the big tent with plenty of room for social distancing.
But there’s more! Our virtual activities are designed to let you experience the Harvest like never before! You’ll find: virtual tours, member photo galleries, games, demos, and 4-H videos as well as details on how to participate in the Scavenger Hunt and win prizes up to $200!
