Winter Overview and Trail Conditions:
From the trailhead it is a very enjoyable half mile to the Shore of Gull Pond. From the trailhead you will notice only a slight elevation gain which continues most of the way to the pond, but very minimal overall. The shore is lovely and open in many spots making for a perfect location to have a picnic, hot chocolate, or other tasty treats, if the weather cooperates. Looking across the shore you can see the rocky cliff area of Smith and Leland Hill.
