Belfry Mountain

Winter Overview and Trail Conditions:

This entire climb is all uphill, but don’t let that alarm you; it follows an access road all the way to the tower. Pass through the steel gate and follow the obvious course of the road. As you near the top it becomes more of a foot trail passing by the radio maintenance shed. The firetower is open so be sure to climb on up and check out the views. The old mining community of Mineville, Witherbee and Moriah are directly below you and the large mounds of mine tailings can be seen in the distance as well as Vermont far off in the distance.
