Jabe Pond

How to Get There

From the Ticonderoga traffic circle, head south on Route 9N. Continue for 1.5 miles past the intersection of Route 9N and Route 3 and locate Split Rock Road on the right. Drive down Split Rock Road, which turns into Battle Hill Road, continue up the hill, and look for Jabe Pond Road on the left. This is a dirt road that is 1-mile long and very rough, so high clearance is recommended.

Overview

If you can drive Jabe Pond Road the portage will be minimal; however, the road is rough and you may decide to cart the 1-mile to the water’s edge. This pond is very scenic with tall mountains shadowing the water. There are many campsites along the shore and on the islands that dot the water.
