Westport Festival Day celebrated Saturday, August 4th

Westport Heritage HouseWESTPORT-ON-LAKE-CHAMPLAIN, N.Y. - The Westport Heritage House is pleased to announce a full day's schedule of events for the Westport Festival Day on August 4, 2012. Events begin at 11:00 AM starting with a 5K fun race, food, vendors and silent auctions, scavenger hunt, dog agility and Shakespeare in the Park.

Local performers are being sought to participate in an open mic on the new Westport Heritage House patio. There is no pre-registration as this is to be a fun event for all, children and adults are welcome!

Additional music will be provided for your enjoyment by the Ron Revog Band, Roadside Mystic Band and James Mayo with the Camp Dudley Choir during the afternoon. 


Location: Ballard Park, Westport Heritage House & Library Lawn

11:00 AM 5K Fun Race begins at the Library Lawn, up Stevenson Road and returns to end at the Library Lawn
11:00 AM Foods, vendors and silent auctions begin
· Local foods 'As You Like It' (stay for the evening's Shakespeare play) at our "Picnic in the Park".

· Refreshments at "Halstead's Bar"

· "Bessboro Street Market" craft vendors

· "Spirit of Place Art Show" and "Themed Basket" silent auctions  (ending 3:00 pm & 3:30 pm respectively)

Shakespeare vignettes performed throughout the grounds by the Depot Apprentice cast of "As you Like it."

11:00 AM Old fashion scavenger hunt for children starting at the Ballard garden
12:00 noon Open Mic – Adults and children welcomed on the WHH patio
1:00 PM Music by Ron Revog Band at the pavilion
2:00 PM Music by Roadside Mystic Band at the pavilion
3:30 PM James Mayo with the Dudley Choir in chapel
4:00 PM 4-H Dog Agility at the Ballard garden area
5:00 PM Shakespeare in the park/ "As You Like It"
11:00 – 3:00 Old and Antique car display on the Library Lawn
