CABIN FEVER LECTURE SERIES

Join us at the Pok-O-MacCready Outdoor Education Center for our 3rd Annual Cabin Fever Lecture Series! The 2012 Lecture Series will feature Carl Heilman, Steven Kellogg, Sharp Swan, Kristin Kimball, and Jeff Cochran. All lectures are on Thursdays and begin at 7pm. (no lecture on Thursday, Feb. 16th) ADMISSION IS FREE! Donations Welcome. February 2nd: CARL HEILMAN II Carl Heilman II has been photographing the wild Adirondack landscape since 1975, working to capture on film both the grandeur of this special region, and the emotional connection he has felt as well. 'I Am the Adirondacks' is Carl's most recent digital multi-image production. Simply, it is about venturing into the spectacular and finding wonder in the details.... Carl will be accompanied by musician Dan Berggren: Dan is a tradition-based songsmith who writes with honesty, humor and a strong sense of place. Fresh Territory is Dan's most recent solo release. One of the album's most popular songs is Dan's renewable energy anthem "Power from Above" which was published in the Fall 2006 issue of SING OUT! the nation's premiere folk magazine.
